I'm not sure if this was you ultimate intention but dangling the characters and their situations in front of me without releasing the whole picture makes me want more. I am going to read this book. I'm a little scared, you really capture the human emotions that are obviously a intergral part of the novel and I don't know what kind of wall I'm going to hit with them.
I might skip the unicorn bit.
So there it is. A little more clarity on the exact nature of both the chraracters and situation may have done well by way of enlightenment for someone who hasn't read the novel.
On the other hand, I'm going to read the book now, so job well done.
